7 months

Today, my sweet girls are 7 months old!  7 months sounds soooo much older than 6 months.  The girls also seem to be acting so much 'older' these last few days!

They are both rolling and moving all over the place.  They will be crawling very, very soon.  They are getting to be very funny little girls!  They will do anything to make us laugh!  Maddox has found her 'funny face' and does it CONSTANTLY.  I LOVE it!  Vivi has also done 'Pretty Picture' a few times and it very proud of herself when she does it!  Here are some details:
  • They have eaten the following baby food: sweet potatoes, peas and green beans (NOT FANS), butternut squash, squash, carrots, apples, bananas, peaches, pears, Hawaiian delight, fruit medley and prunes.  They really like everything except those greens!  I make most of the baby food they eat, but they do eat some out of the jar.
  • They are now eating the Gerber Puffs and LOVE them!
  • They drink water and juice (watered down) and love that as well!
  • We are still breastfeeding and they usually get 1 formula bottle during the day and drink around 6 oz!
  • They are wearing size 2 diapers, but could probably still wear 1's.  The 2's are big on them, but that is what we have, so we are going with it!
  • Wearing mostly size 6 month clothing.  Some of it still swallows them and they still wear some 3 month and 3-6 month stuff.
  • Size 1-2 shoes
  • Still NO TEETH!  These babies seemed to have been teething for months now and I see/feel NOTHING!
  • They are sitting up pretty good!  Maddox sat up for probably 10 minutes tonight on her own.  Vivi likes to fall back (on the bed)..she thinks it is fun, but can't understand why it hurts her head when she does it on the floor! ha!  Needless to say, we don't leave them while sitting, yet!
Did I mention how much fun these girls are?  They are little jokesters and are pleasant most of the time.  Maddox is a SUPER mommy's girl and Vivi is a go-getter!

They want to play all day!  We go from floor, to exersaucer to bumbo and back again all day.  Right now, Jeanne is keeping the girls on Monday and Tuesday.  Granny keeps them on Wednesday and Thursday and Mom/Blair keep them on Friday (rotating every other Friday).  When I leave them they are just as happy as can be and playing!  When I come home, they are either napping or just waking up, usually.

Speaking of napping, this is not something we have mastered!  They sleep great at night but do not sleep much during the day.  They go down like clock work (usually) but often just take 30 minute naps.  It is VERY rare for them to take a 1-2 hour nap and when they do, it is never at the same time!  I so wish I could say they go down and _____ hour and sleep for 2-3 hours every day, but they don't.  I can't complain, though because they are happy when they wake up.  They just don't need the sleep I guess!  I am thinking once they get mobile, they might require more sleep, but we will see!

Well, I think that is it for this post!  We are so blessed to have such wonderful girls.  I can't imagine life without them and I thank God MULTIPLE times an hour (!) for these precious angels.  I still can't figure out why he chose us to be their parents, but I am so glad he did!
Is this picture not HILARIOUS!?!
